Parquet installation

We lay new parquet, planks and herringbone, then sand and finish the floor.

What it involves

We start with the subfloor, because it decides whether the floor will be level and quiet. Then we lay blocks, planks or herringbone and glue them to the screed. The finished floor is sanded and finished with lacquer or oil.

When it is a good choice

  • You are renovating a flat or building a house.
  • The old floor is too damaged to restore.
  • You want a pattern the current floor does not have, such as herringbone.

Good to know

The screed has to be dry and level, otherwise the wood will move and the floor will start to creak. With underfloor heating not every species of wood is suitable, so mention it when you ask for a quote. If you already have a parquet floor that has simply worn, sanding is usually enough.
